Jackie Davis, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified School Adjustment counselor. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults and families in a variety of different settings: including inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, high schools, middle schools and health centers. In counseling sessions with individuals, I use the therapeutic approach which best fits the needs of my clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I believe in the benefits of incorporating an individual’s spirituality and religious beliefs into sessions when desired. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, other mental health disorders, self esteem challenges, grief and loss, addiction, as well as work, home and school stressors.
The treatment that I provide for clients is centered around helping to empower them to be their healthiest self and experience a greater sense of peace in their lives. I believe that people make the most progress in counseling when they are able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist. In order for this to occur, clients must know that they are unconditionally accepted for who they are and the circumstances they are experiencing. During sessions with clients, I offer educated feedback, direction and guidance.
