Michelle Strout, PhD, LICSW
After being in clinical practice for over 30 years, I realize the quality of the therapeutic relationship is as significant to healing as the approach. My treatment methods include not only traditional psychotherapy but also mindfulness and a holistic integration of systems.
Whether your goal is to solve specific problems or discover deeper self-knowledge, I draw on many years of experience to guide this process. To nurture this relationship, I believe trust, confidentiality, and a broad-minded, non-judgmental, inclusive attitude are essential.
My clinical practice is enhanced by my study of Sociology, for which I earned a PhD from Boston University in 2007. I am better able to help you understand the context within which your issues have developed and will be resolved.
Other areas of interest include: the effects of nutrition, nature and exercise on our mental and emotional health, the Sociology of the Internet, Personal Privacy and Confidentiality and the Neuroplasticity of the brain.
